Schedule of events for the DaySaturday 11th June 2011

All judging of fancy dress, floats and vehicles are carried out by judges from other gala-day committees.

Procession Arrangements

Bands, cars and floats will congregate at St. Kentigern's Academy at 8am. They will perform a MASS PIPE BANDS Parade at approximately 9am along Blackburn West Main Street, through East Main Street, turning left into Elm Grove finishing off on Ash Grove outside Blackburn Community Centre where they will collect the children and guests after the crowning ceremony.

  • 09:00-09:45 Congregation of floats next to Blackburn Community Centre Assembly of Pageant Characters, Bands, Guest Cars etc

  • 09:00-10:15 Photographs of Pageant Children
  • 09:30-09:45 Judging of Fancy Dress, Best Decorated Poles and Fancy Cycle
  • 09:45-10:00 Judging of Floats
  • 10:30--Appr CROWNING CEREMONY
  • 11:30--Appr Procession starts
  • 12:00-14:00 Blackburn Community Centre - Uplift of Gala-Day Bags. Doors will be closed at 2pm.
